HOPE — The District of Hope says municipal public works crews are responding to an active rockfall incident Tuesday morning (Nov. 12) on Union Bar Road in Hope.

According to a statement on its social media channels, the district says slope stabilization professionals have been notified and will be responding to the site as soon as possible.

The district did not specify the exact location on Union Bar Road.

The district says residents should avoid using this corridor if at all possible.

Union Bar Road runs from near Thacker Regional Park in the south, meandering along the Fraser River before it dead ends at Swahliseah First Nation 14.
