CHILLIWACK – Firefighters say a garage and attached deck were damaged during an early morning blaze in a Chilliwack residential neighbourhood on Monday.
A fire department spokesperson said the two-alarm incident started around 8:30 a.m. at a vacant address on Garden Drive, just off Charles Street.
“Approximately 35 firefighters from Halls 1, 2, 4, and 6 responded to the scene,” Assistant Fire Chief Krista Minar said.
“Upon arrival, crews confirmed that a detached garage and an attached deck were on fire.”
