Langley man, 26, stabbed in what police are calling a ‘targeted, isolated’ incident

LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley say a 26-year-old Langley man was taken to hospital Tuesday morning after being stabbed in the vicinity of Douglas Crescent in Langley.

According to a news release from Corporal Zynal Sharoom, police responded to the report of a stabbing Tuesday morning (Sept. 17) at 8:15 a.m. in the 20300 block of Douglas Crescent. Officers and paramedics attended and found the victim inside a local business. He was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life-threating injuries.

“The investigation is in its infancy, however, we believe that this was a targeted and isolated incident. There is no on-going risk to public safety,” said Corporal Sharoom.

Police are looking for witnesses and motorists with dash camera footage who happened to be in the area of Douglas Crescent between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Anyone with information that could contribute to the police investigation is urged to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2024-30019.
