Chilliwack SPCA takes action after dogs found tied to a fence together outside its facility
CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack chapter of the B.C. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or SPCA, says two dogs that were found tied together to a fence outside its facility in late August are in the midst of recuperating.
According to an update provided last week Wednesday, the SPCA says two female pitties were left tied up to its fence late one night in August. Under ideal circumstances, the dogs would have been brought to the facility for adoption during normal business hours, but that didn’t happen in this case.
“Sadly, as this happens more and more often, these two young ladies were left tied to our fence late one night,” Chilliwack SPCA said. “These two gals didn’t just walk up to our gates, they weren’t brought in by loving owners wanting to do what is best for their family members. Sometimes things happen for a reason.”
The dogs did not have a microchip or tattoo to identify them, meaning SPCA staff took them in and provided care.
