ABBOTSFORD — An inmate serving time for second-degree murder has died in an Abbotsford penitentiary, according to the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC).
Investigators believe the inmate, identified as Gregory Narcisse, died of natural causes on Tuesday at Pacific Institution.
Narcisse began serving an indeterminate sentence in June 1994 for second-degree murder, assault, and forcible confinement.
CSC says an investigation is underway, and local police and the coroner have been notified, as all cases involving the death of an inmate are required to be reviewed.
