CHILLIWACK — The work never stops for the successful G.W. Graham football program in Chilliwack, especially in the off-season.

According to G.W. Graham varsity football coach Ryk Piché, Exhibition Stadium came alive Thursday (June 13) with adrenaline and excitement stemming from a football jamboree featuring four local schools. Junior varsity teams from G.W. Graham and Seaquam Seahawks took to the field, while varsity squads from G.W. Graham, Seaquam, and W.J. Mouat showcased their talents in a spirited competition.

Defensive coordinator Mike Hayes said, “Overall, I was happy with the boys’ effort. Given that we have several guys playing new positions and a whole new defence for the young guys coming up, I thought we adapted well. Lots of areas to improve which we’re excited about. It was great afternoon of football!”

Coach Piché said the event was a resounding success, providing a valuable opportunity for teams to gauge their progress and readiness for the upcoming season. He was equally satisfied with the day’s proceedings.
