Two Chilliwack farms hiring for the 2024 season

CHILLIWACK — Two farm operations in Chilliwack have announced on social media in the past week that they are accepting applications for seasonal employment.

Klaassen Farms and Sparkes Corn Barn in Chilliwack say they are both looking to hire for the 2024 season.

“We are hiring for our 2024 season,” Klaassen Farms wrote on Twitter Tuesday, April 2 at 11:42 a.m. “Email us your resume to apply at order@klaassenfarms.ca, or drop off in person to our Farm Store on Fridays between 10 AM–3 PM.”

Klaassen Farms is located at 51211 Chilliwack Central Road, north of the Annis Road exit (exit 129). According to its website, Klaassen Farms is a family-owned blueberry farm offering blueberries grown locally in Chilliwack. The family behind the blueberry farm operation has been farming for over 30 years. With over 80 acres, the farm says it is dedicated to growing great-tasting blueberries at an affordable price.

Sparkes Corn Barn wrote on Facebook over the Easter weekend that it is hiring for employment opportunities in Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Agassiz and Vernon.

Students looking for summer employment are invited to apply online at chilliwackcorn.com/employment. Interviews will begin in May. Sparkes offers part-time and full-time employment options in all four cities.
