Chilliwack RCMP investigate targeted stabbing on Young Road

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP are investigating a targeted stabbing that occurred early Monday in the 8700 block of Young Road, not far from the Alliance Church.

According to a statement from Chilliwack RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk, media relations spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment, Chilliwack RCMP were called to the 8700 block of Young Road in response to a stabbing. Police are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and suspect this was a targed incident, Sgt. Vrolyk said.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition. The investigation continues, Sgt. Vrolyk said.
