CHILLIWACK — Come hungry and save some room in your stomach this weekend in downtown Chilliwack for a feast of epic proportions at the Chilliwack Central Park Block Party.

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is partnering with the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association for a block party at Central Community Park in which 20-plus food trucks will be ready and eager to serve hungry patrons from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Sunday.

The food truck lineup has everything a foodie could love, from corn dogs to grilled cheese, pizza and noodles, street dogs and tornado potatoes, just to name a few. There will also be a beer garden, a local market, and live entertainment.

The scheduled list of food vendors consists of Acai Dude, Betty’s Greek Honey Ballz ( Betty’s Corner Ltd.), Big Red’s Poutine, Corndog Kings, Cravings Kettle Corn, G’s Donairs, Groovin’ Grill, GuerillaQ, Juicy Green Express, KYU Grill, Little Devils Wood Fire Pizza, Melttown Grilled Cheese, Mo Bacon, Mr. Pretzels, Munchu Picchu, Rolled West Coast, SaltSpring Noodle Bar, ShawarmaTime, Slavic Rolls, Street Dogs, Texas Smoke BBQ, The Sweet Spot (by Sweet Avenue), Tin Lizzy Mini Donuts, and Tornado Potato.

Market vendors include Beloved By Emily, D’Lux Bath & Body, Fluffy, Bunny Cotton Candy, Homemade By Harris, Knottywork designs, Lilac Rain, Loving The Bling, Relaxation Island Aromatherapy, Slow Sunday Foods Ltd., Sumas Laser Engraving & Design, That’s A Good Cookie, and Wick Off Candles.

Admission is free.

Chilliwack City Council approved on Tuesday, March 7 a funding request from the Downtown Chilliwack BIA in the amount of $5,000 for the Food Truck Festival. The food trucks will be back on July 12 for a special one-day festival in cooperation with the BIA.
