Mission RCMP announce missing 16-year-old female has been located

MISSION — Mission RCMP announced at 8:21 a.m. Monday morning that a missing 16-year-old female from Mission who had been missing for about a week has now been located.

According to Corporal Jason Raaflaub, media relations officer for the Mission RCMP detachment, Mounties in Mission say they are pleased to confirm that the 16-year-old female reported missing on Tuesday, April 18, but last seen on Sunday, April 16, has been located and is “safe and sound.”

“Thanks to the media and public for your assistance,” Cpl. Raaflaub said in a statement.

No further information was provided by authorities.
