Chilliwack Chiefs sweep opening playoff games in Coquitlam

COQUITLAM — Brian Morse scored at 2:10 of overtime to give the Chilliwack Chiefs a 4 -2 win over the hometown Coquitlam Express and a 2 – 0 lead in their best-of-seven first-round BCHL playoff series.
Morse’s goal came on the first shot of overtime. It was his second in two nights. He also scored in the Chiefs 4 – 1 victory Friday night in Coquitlam.
Mateo Mrsic and Tim Delay scored powerplay goals in the second period to stake Chilliwack to a 2 – 1 lead after two periods Saturday. However the Express tied the game and forced overtime when Tyler Kopff scored with just 4:14 remaining in regulation time.
Chilliwack will look to take a commanding 3 – 0 series lead Tuesday night when the two clubs meet in Chilliwack for a 7 p.m. game.
