SD33 trustee candidates forum happens today in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK – The community is invited to get to know the Chilliwack Board of Education candidates running in this month’s municipal election through a non-partisan panel discussion later today.

According to an Eventbrite posting online, the forum happens Thursday, Oct. 8 starting at 2 p.m. at the Grand Hall in District 1881, located in downtown Chilliwack.

The event welcomes people to attend for an afternoon of civil discussion as the public acquaints itself with the SD33 trustee candidates running in this year’s election.

This forum provides an opportunity to engage directly with candidates in a non-partisan environment. Discussions will highlight candidates’ priorities as they pertain to the role of school trustee, student learning and achievement, budgeting and resources, school safety and inclusion, effective governance, and family and community engagement.
