Abbotsford police seize SUV for a week after driver travels in wrong lane
ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford have recently impounded a vehicle after a series of dangerous driving choices made on local roads.
On Tuesday evening (Sept. 15), in the 31500 block of Lombard Avenue, the Abbotsford Police Department says its traffic enforcement officers were conducting checks from an unmarked police car when a 23-year-old driver decided to stop in the middle of the road, revved the engine, and accelerated “aggressively,” causing the tires to squeal.
The white Dodge Durango then lost traction before moving on eastbound in the westbound lane.
“This incident serves as a reminder that dangerous driving behaviours put everyone at risk,” said AbbyPD. “Just because you don’t see a police vehicle doesn’t mean we aren’t watching.”
