Man hospitalized after reported assault Monday in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford are looking to find the assailants responsible for a reported assault that sent a man to hospital Monday morning.
In a statement, the Abbotsford Police Department says patrol officers responded to reports of an assault near Hopedale Avenue and Clearbrook Road at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 14). Callers told police that three individuals were assaulting a man who had been lying on the roadway.
When police arrived, they located a victim in the middle of the road. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers are actively investigating the incident and working to determine the circumstances that led up to the assault.
At this time, police suspect the incident was targeted and there is no indication of an ongoing risk to the public.
