AGASSIZ — The Upper Fraser Valley RCMP advised Saturday afternoon that a missing 12-year-old Indigenous girl from Agassiz has been located.
According to a news release from Sgt. Mike Sargent, media relations officer for the Agassiz RCMP and Upper Fraser Valley RCMP, Mounties had wonderful news to report.
“The RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 12-year-old female youth reported missing on February 9, 2023, has been located, and she is safe and sound. Thanks to the media and public for your assistance,” Agassiz RCMP wrote in a statement.
The public and media were first notified Friday morning of her disappearance.
