City of Chilliwack to begin managing Heritage Park next year
CHILLIWACK – The City of Chilliwack and Tourism Chilliwack jointly announced Thursday that the city will assume control over the management and operations of Heritage Park starting next year.
In a statement, the city says Heritage Park is a large multi-use, year-round facility that accommodates events like trade shows, exhibitions, sporting events, major regional events, ag and equestrian events, and community activities.
The city owns Heritage Park and will begin managing the facility effective April 1, 2027.
Since 2012, Tourism Chilliwack has held management and operations agreement for the facility, while the city has maintained the building and provided capital upgrades.
