Cultus Lake Waterpark reveals extent of corrective action that allowed it to reopen all its waterslides
CULTUS LAKE – Cultus Lake Waterpark now says all waterslides that were operational prior to an incident in mid-June that injured 12 school kids have returned to service with full approval for continued operation.
In the weeks that followed the incident on June 15, Technical Safety BC conducted extensive investigations and identified several contributing factors, according to a statement issued by Cultus Lake Waterpark.
While Technical Safety BC’s investigative report has not yet been published, the park says it has worked closely with authorities, engineers, and professionals to address the identified issues and exhibit its compliance with safety code requirements.
“Improper grounding of the electrical system near the incident area, combined with other factors, created the conditions that allowed this incident to occur,” the water park said.
