Chilliwack meat shop owner awarded with 2026 B.C. Medal of Good Citizenship

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack-based Tydel Foods’ impact on the community is being recognized with the acceptance of an annual award this B.C. Day.
The meat shop’s owner, Brigida Crosbie, has received a Medal of Good Citizenship from the province for transforming her business into a lifeline for care and community connection for underprivileged people.
“I am deeply humbled and incredibly honoured to be named a recipient of the British Columbia Medal of Good Citizenship,” wrote Crosbie in a social media post. “This honour is not mine alone. It also belongs to my husband Tony and my daughters Tyanna and Delana, every volunteer and employee past and present, […] every customer who walked through the doors of TYDEL FOODS and The Cheese Bar.
“It belongs to every donor, every local business, every community partner and every person who believed in our mission when the road became difficult. It belongs to every senior who trusted us, every family who needed a hand, every child who came through our doors hungry, and every person who needed to be reminded that they still mattered.”
