Princess Avenue parking lot offers 34 more parking stalls near District 1881
CHILLIWACK — Thirty-four more parking spaces have opened up at a city-owned municipal parking lot in downtown Chilliwack, alleviating a parking crunch associated with the popularity of the growing retail outlets in District 1881.
The City of Chilliwack made the announcement on Facebook Tuesday (Jan. 24), saying the new parking lot is temporarily open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., until new street lighting is connected. Parking is free at the facility.
EV chargers will be installed once B.C. Hydro establishes a connection, and landscaping and permanent line markings are set to be completed sometime this spring. No projected date was announced for this component of the project.
