Chilliwack Curling Club hiring staff with starting wage of $20/hr.

CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Curling Club put out the call on social media this past week that it is hiring up to three staff to perform a number of duties at the curling facility with a starting wage of $20 per hour.

According to an email and a Facebook post from the Chilliwack Curling Club, the facility is currently hiring two people whose work will encompass cleaning, cash handling, pro shop duties, clearing and cleaning tables at its restaurant, running a till, and washing dishes. In other words, a jack of all trades.

“The position is multi-functional and will involve cleaning, cash handling, pro shop duties, etc.,” the curling club wrote in an email from chilliwackcc@telus.net. “We work as a team at our facility and we are a multi-functional facility which has curling, a restaurant, banquet rooms, meeting rooms and a lounge serving alcohol.”

There is a minimum age of 19 for this position.
