Chilliwack Chiefs acquire forward Michael La Starza from U.S. Hockey League
CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs continue to bolster and reshape their roster as they vie for contention in the B.C. Hockey League.
Toward that end, the Chilliwack Chiefs announced the addition of Michael La Starza to the roster on Friday, January 6.
The 2004-born forward comes to the Chiefs from the U.S. Hockey League’s Sioux Falls Stampede in exchange for future considerations. La Starza had 77 points in 130 USHL games split between Sioux Falls and Waterloo.
“Opportunities to add a player of Michael’s caliber don’t come around often. He is going to immediately help our team offensively. We look forward to helping Michael round out his game to continue to prepare for college. This is a really good day for our hockey club,” said Brian Maloney, Chilliwack Chiefs head coach and GM.
