Three fires ignite west of Harrison due to lightning strikes Tuesday

HARRISON – Three small wildfires have ignited west of Harrison Lake Tuesday due to lightning strikes.

According to the BC Wildfire Service online dashboard, the three wildfires were discovered Tuesday. All are less than a half hectare.

One is southeast of Chehalis Lake, another is due east of the lake, and another is just northwest of Harrison Hot Springs near Pirates Point.

All three are believed to be caused by lightning and are currently out of control.
