Traffic pattern changes coming for Highway 1 and 11 in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — Traffic changes are underway as crews conduct more overnight work on the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program.

From 9 p.m. tonight (Sept. 27) to 5:30 a.m. the following day, both the Highway 1 eastbound off-ramp to Mt. Lehman Road northbound and the eastbound off-ramp to the Fraser Highway are set to be closed, detouring drivers via Mt. Lehman Road southbound.

Westbound Highway 1 traffic will also temporarily shift to the exit lane from tonight until Friday (Oct. 2). Work will run from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Friday and until 7 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 3) as the Fraser Highway westbound on-ramp to Highway 1 will be closed to support the road widening.

“Drivers are asked to slow down and allow extra travel time, obey signage, and watch for roadside workers,” said the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Transit.
