Longtime Chilliwack resident, community advocate for radon awareness sadly passes
CHILLIWACK – A former operating room nurse who later worked as a Chilliwack real estate agent and devoted countless hours toward raising awareness around radon has sadly passed after a courageous battle with lung cancer caused by radon exposure.
According to an obituary posted in the Chilliwack Progress, longtime Chilliwack resident Jill Hall passed away on March 16, 2026.
Jill was born on July 5, 1964, in Fairfield Island, Chilliwack. She excelled in competitive barrel racing as a kid, and later became a registered nurse, spending two decades in the operating room caring for patients.
She lived in Ryder Lake for 27 years, and later moved with her family into husband Matt’s family property in Greendale.
