Abbotsford Police remove five impaired drivers off streets
ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford Police described their weekend as fairly quiet in a social media post, but it still included 292 calls from Friday (March 27) at 5 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
Police say they pulled five impaired drivers off Abbotsford roads while issuing 41 violation tickets. One of the impaired driving cases occurred early Sunday morning.
Police say they pulled over a speeding vehicle at 6:40 a.m. Once pulled over, officers took a close look at the driver and took steps to determine that the driver was impaired.
Another impaired driving incident occurred Friday evening when the driver knocked over a lamp post, damaging their right front fender. The driver is facing criminal charges.
