3 charged in extortion investigation after shots fired at Surrey home November 2025
SURREY — Three men are facing extortion-related charges after shots were fired at a Surrey home in November last year.
Surrey officers responded to calls of a possible shooting at a residence in the 17000 block of 32 Avenue on November 8 and November 12.
The BC Provincial Extortion Task Force then took charge of both files to investigate the incidents as a series, and on December 8, the BC Prosecution Service approved one count of unlawfully discharging a firearm against then 21-year-old Avtar Singh.
As of Friday, February 27, the now 22-year-old Singh also faces one count of extortion, and prosecutors have also approved the same charges against two other foreign nationals in relation to these incidents – 28-year-old Sandeep Singh and 24-year-old Jagdeep Singh.
