Chilliwack RCMP ticket 11 high-risk motorists

CHILLIWACK — Five motorists within the Chilliwack area apparently didn’t get the memo that it’s illegal to drive while impaired.

So the RCMP did them a favour and removed them and six other drivers in conjunction with its ongoing traffic enforcement.

According to the Twitter account of the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP detachment in Chilliwack, Mounties removed five impaired drivers this past week, three motorists for prohibited driving, and three more motorists for excessive speeding, as part of its weekly traffic report for the week of Monday, November 21 through Monday, November 28.

Earlier in the week, local Mounties took part in the grand opening of the new Investigative Services Building on Thursday, Nov. 25, located just south of the existing Airport Road detachment building.
