ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say a 23-year-old man who allegedly came to Abbotsford on Wednesday to sell drugs like meth, coke and fentanyl was arrested as a result of a traffic stop.

According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, members of the Abbotsford Police Department Gang Crime Unit (GCU) continue their targeted enforcement against individuals involved in gang violence and the distribution of illegal drugs within our community.

On Wednesday, May 27, at just after 10 a.m., officers made an arrest as part of these ongoing operations. During a traffic stop, a 23-year-old man who allegedly visited Abbotsford to sell drugs was arrested.

A search of his vehicle revealed a bag containing methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl. In total, over 11 ounces of drugs were seized, with an estimated street value of approximately $11,000. Officers also seized his vehicle, a Honda Civic, and $1,905 in cash, and a forfeiture application is being pursued.

Police say the investigation reinforces the ongoing risk posed by those involved in the drug trade and organized crime. Each seizure not only removes dangerous substances from our streets but also disrupts the networks that contribute to violence and addiction in our community.

“If you are involved in gang activity or drug trafficking, be aware—enforcement efforts are ongoing, coordinated, and relentless,” Sgt. Walker said. “AbbyPD’s GCU is committed to identifying those responsible, holding them accountable, and dismantling their operations. Their proactive efforts are focused on disrupting criminal networks, protecting vulnerable individuals, and enhancing public safety.”

Sgt. Walker urged the public to come forward to report any suspicious activity wherever it occurs in Abbotsford.

“For the public: your information matters,” he said. “If you see suspicious activity or have concerns about drug-related activity in your neighbourhood, report it. Together, we can reduce harm, strengthen community safety, and send a clear message—gang violence and drug trafficking have no place in Abbotsford.”
