Apartment development could be built on the site of a former day care on Keith Wilson Road

CHILLIWACK – A 3.25-acre parcel of land once occupied by a day care centre on Keith Wilson Road could become an apartment development.

According to the text of a City of Chilliwack planning sign, a rezoning application has been submitted for property at 44490 Keith Wilson Road, which once housed a day care centre.

The rezoning application seeks to amend the text of the CD-16 (Comprehensive Development) zone to increase density and height, reduce setbacks, parking, and previous surfaces, and permit storage lockers within units to facilitate the construction of an apartment development within the subject property.

The residence previously occupied by the day care was demolished in December 2025. The property was substantially cleared in January, although there are some trees and other brush still remaining on the property.

In September 2024, Fraser Valley Today wrote about the property at 44490 Keith Wilson Road. It was listed as the last remaining parcel of available land at Webster Crossing and had an asking price of $10,250,000.

It sold on Sept. 13, 2024 for $10,250,000.
