District of Kent to hold free Family Day activities this weekend

AGASSIZ – The District of Kent says it will host a free three-hour event this weekend as part of Family Day activities.

The district says the event will be held Saturday, Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Recreation & Cultural Centre, 6660 Pioneer Avenue.

The activities consist of fun games, inflatables, community booths, prizes, snacks, and a chance to win free registration to Agassiz Minor Soccer.

There are no online registration forms to fill out. Area residents are asked to simply stop by and enjoy the free activities.

“We hope to see you all there,” the district wrote on its Facebook page.

Over in Chilliwack, the Cheam Leisure Centre in Garrison is holding Family Fun Day activities on Monday, February 16. For $5, families and kids can enjoy active games, creative crafts, swimming, family challenges and more. As of Friday morning, Feb. 13, the City of Chilliwack has not posted on its social media channels about Family Day activities. Instead, it has posted about City Hall, the Bailey Landfill, and Parr Road Green Depot being closed on Family Day.
