2 pedestrians struck by car, driver flees scene Wednesday night: AbbyPD

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford are investigating a hit and run Wednesday evening in which a vehicle struck two pedestrians and fled before first responders could arrive on scene.

According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD patrol officers were called to the intersection of Simpson Road and Ross Road in northwest Abbotsford just after 7 p.m. Wednesday evening for a reported collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians.

Sgt. Walker says the suspect vehicle, described as a maroon Mazda, fled the scene before first responders arrived. He says both pedestrians sustained injuries, and one requiring transport to hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who was in the area at the time and may have dash‑camera footage, to contact the Abbotsford Police Department.
