Chilliwack elementary school undergoes hold and secure amid nearby police incident
CHILLIWACK – A Chilliwack elementary school was placed in a hold and secure Tuesday morning after police received a report of a stabbing, which was later unfounded.
According to a statement from Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, police were called to Teskey Road in Promontory after getting reports of a stabbing.
Chilliwack firefighters were also paged at approximately 10:07 a.m. for a reported stabbing in the 4900 block of Teskey Road.
Cpl. Kiener says police were able to confirm that no stabbing had occurred, and no one was injured.
