Enbridge offers free space centre tickets for eastern Fraser Valley residents

FRASER VALLEY – Fraser Valley residents can keep their Family Day celebrations going beyond next week’s stat holiday with free admission to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver on February 21 and 22.

The company says 1,600 free tickets will be given away to residents of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope and Kent to enjoy the Planetarium in Vancouver. They only need to register at this link, and present a proof of residence upon entry to the Space Centre. 

This free admission program, known as Community Days, has returned for its third run, thanks to a renewed sponsorship of $75,000 from Enbridge, an energy transportation company operating a natural gas pipeline system throughout British Columbia.

To further expand access to space education and experiences for communities across the province, three additional Community Days and other Space Centre activities are scheduled for 2026.

“As a non-profit organization, many of our programs rely on a combination of self-generated revenue and strategic partnerships to remain viable. Collaborations like our partnership with Enbridge are essential to extending our reach into communities beyond the Space Centre. With Enbridge’s support, we’re able to inspire more young people to engage with space science and exploration,” said Lorraine Lowe, Executive Director at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
