3 people arrested after car chase ends in Abbotsford: AbbyPD

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say two men and a woman were arrested Wednesday afternoon following a car chase that originated in Mission and ended in Abbotsford.

According to police, AbbyPD frontline officers observed a vehicle at about 1 p.m. near Townline Road and Downes Road that had fled from police in Mission earlier in the day.

Officers followed the vehicle and boxed it in to initiate an arrest near the intersection of Harris Road and Ross Road. Police say two men and one woman were arrested. During a search of the vehicle, officers located two pellet guns. Two of the occupants remain in police custody, while one individual has been released.

The arrested parties are known to police, and criminal charges are expected.

“Criminal activity will not find refuge in Abbotsford,” AbbyPD said. “AbbyPD officers remain committed to identifying offenders, holding them accountable, and keeping our community safe. Fleeing from police in another jurisdiction and entering Abbotsford does not mean avoiding accountability.”
