CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack is continuing its work on upgrading the sewer main along Wolfe Road over the next week.

From January 5 to January 15, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., crews will be working on a section of the road from Dyke Road to Ashwell Road.

Traffic will be single-lane alternating, and drivers are advised to expect delays during work hours.

The sanitary pump station at Chilliwack Landing provides sewage services to northern Chilliwack, including Little Mountain, Fairfield Island and a significant portion of Chilliwack Proper.

Roughly 970 metres of its infrastructure along Hodgins Avenue and Wolfe Road will be replaced due to aging.

“The proposed 900 mm diameter forcemain will increase overall system capacity, support future development, and enhance the reliability and resilience of the sewer system in this area, particularly during extreme weather events,” wrote the City of Chilliwack.

Work began in November 2025 and is set to be completed in March this year.
