MISSION – The next mayor and council in the City of Mission will be sworn in tonight following last month’s municipal election.
The public is invited to attend tonight’s inaugural meeting of the new mayor and council at 7 p.m. at the Clarke Foundation Theatre, 33700 Prentis Avenue, in Mission.
The City of Mission says this is an opportunity for locals to meet their new members of council, honour the past council, and hear Mayor-Elect Jag Gill’s inaugural address.
Mayor Gill was acclaimed in last month’s municipal election, and voters in Mission elected Councillors Mark Davies, Ken Herar, Candace Koch, Norm MacLeod, Steve McLay and Sharon Sandhu.
