Mission first responders rescue woman with significant limb injury at Stave Lake
STAVE LAKE – Mission Search and Rescue Society personnel were called to Stave Lake last weekend after a woman suffered a significant lower limb injury while she was out on the lake.
In a statement, the search and rescue agency says first responders from their agency were able to reach the woman by boat to render first aid and prepare for extraction procedures.
Mission SAR says the woman was carefully loaded onto a boat before being shuttled over to the Stake Lake boat launch and transferred to BC Emergency Health Services paramedics.
The agency is extending thanks to both BC EHS staff and members of the public.
