Former Chilliwack Chief joins Abbotsford Canucks as video coach
ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Canucks didn’t have to look too far to update their coaching staff as the team gears up for another season on the ice.
In an announcement today (July 31), Canucks General Manager Richard Seeley welcomed new Assistant Coach Mark O’Leary and Chilliwack-born Lucas Bourdon as video coach.
Bourdon spent the past two seasons as video coach with the BCHL’s Chilliwack Chiefs, but he had previously donned the familiar red-accented jersey as a player from 2020 to 2022.
“Lucas brings strong ties to the Fraser Valley, great energy, and a keen attention to detail that will complement our staff,” said Seeley. “We’re confident both will make a positive impact on our organization.”
