Fort Langley’s Brigade Days are back with free admission over the BC Day weekend
FORT LANGLEY — Historical re-enactments, demonstrations and interactive activities are promised at Fort Langley National Historic Site during Brigade Days over the BC Day long weekend.
The annual two-day event takes place Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2. It features actors in period costumes, tours of the fort and demonstrations highlighting life during the fur trade era.
Admission is free throughout the summer, including Brigade Days, under the Canada Strong Pass.
This year’s event includes music and storytelling, a presentation on fur trade trapping, and demonstrations showing a pig and lamb being roasted using tools forged in the fort’s blacksmith shop.
