No arrests made after 32-year-old man shot Tuesday night in Maple Ridge: RCMP

MAPLE RIDGE – Police in Maple Ridge say a 32-year-old man was transported to hospital in serious condition after being shot outside a home on Lougheed Highway Tuesday night.

In a statement, Maple Ridge RCMP say police were called to the 21600 block of Lougheed Highway Tuesday night at about 7 p.m. for a report of shots fired. RCMP members promptly responded to the scene and located a 32-year-old male victim who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Officers cleared the area and surrounding properties and contacted multiple people at the scene. Officers are still determining the exact circumstances but believe this is an isolated incident involving parties known to each other.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. This incident is not believed to be related to any gang or extortion activity.
