Victoria Police arrest two men in connection with abduction, sexual assault of woman
VICTORIA — Police in Victoria say they arrested and charged two men in connection with a reported abduction and sexual assault of a woman.
Jamie McRae, the department’s deputy chief, says the men were arrested in Victoria on June 21 after Nanaimo RCMP received a complaint.
McRae says the woman told Mounties that one of the men drove her from Nanaimo to Victoria on June 19, where she was introduced to a second man, who allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times and refused to allow her to leave.
He says the young adult female eventually returned to Nanaimo, where she contacted police, who then turned the file over to the Victoria department.
