ABBOTSFORD – Two serious motor vehicle incidents have closed a pair of Abbotsford-area roads Tuesday evening, one of which was a private bus that rolled after colliding with a passenger vehicle.

AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says first responders are on scene of a serious collision on Sumas Way at McClary Avenue, north of Costco, involving a motorcycle and a commercial vehicle.

Sumas Way is currently closed in both directions between the Highway 1 east bound on ramp and Barrons Way.

Police say an air ambulance is expected to be landing in the area shortly (as of 8:16 p.m.).

Over in central Abbotsford, AbbyPD officers are currently on scene at a serious two-vehicle collision at Clearbrook Road and Austin Avenue involving a private bus and a passenger vehicle. As a result of the crash, the bus rolled onto its side.

There were multiple passengers aboard the bus at the time of the incident.

A significant emergency response involving police, fire, and ambulance personnel is currently underway in the area.

Clearbrook Road is closed in both directions between Maclure Road and Blueridge Drive while first responders manage the scene and conduct their investigation.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. This remains an active and evolving incident.
