Driver leaves scene of overnight crash on Highway 1 east of Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD – A spokesperson for the Abbotsford Police Department says the driver of a vehicle that crashed overnight between Whatcom Road and No. 3 Road left the scene before police could arrive.

AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says police were called to the area at 3:30 a.m. early Wednesday (June 3). He says the driver was nowhere to be found at the scene.

While the investigation is ongoing, Sgt. Walker says the vehicle was left during the morning rush hour and will be removed later today.
