According to online creditor filings via monitor Alvarez and Monsal, Warehouse One Limited Inc. and Bootlegger filed for creditor protection due to insolvency on May 6, 2026. Officially, they commenced proceedings under the Companies’ Creditor Arrangement Act.
As of April 29, 2026, Warehouse One operated 128 leased retail stores in Canada, with the majority located in Western Canada. The privately held company has approximately 982 part-time and full-time non-unionized employees across Canada.
Court filings state Warehouse One has suffered financial losses due to a series of challenges that have negatively impacted profitability.
