CULTUS LAKE – Cultus Lake Park Board commissioners are set to convene a town hall tonight around the proposed Village Center redevelopment project.

At their January 2026 meeting, commissioners announced the award of the Cultus Lake Park Village Center Redevelopment RFP to Diverse Properties, which recognized them as the preferred proponent for the redevelopment plan.

In a closed session meeting on December 10, 2025, the park board passed a pair of resolutions that awarded the RFP to Diverse and authorized Chief Administrative Officer Joe Lamb to create an agreement, to be entered into with Diverse Properties, that outlines the intent to begin to schedule negotiations within 90 days from the execution of the agreement.

A rendering of the proposed project depicts two three-storey, mixed-use buildings along Columbia Valley Road in Cultus Lake, a four-storey apartment building, another pair of three-storey mixed-use buildings, a community building, a community gathering space, several community core spaces, and a dog park, among other features. However, these features have not been finalized.

Cultus Lake Park says the Village Centre redevelopment will guided by several guiding principles, including preserving and enhancing community character; respecting the cultural history and identity of Cultus Lake; championing environmental preservation and sustainability; promoting safe and accessible connections; supporting small, local businesses; and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

Tonight’s town hall will be held at 6 p.m. at Cultus Lake Swilhcha Community School, 71 Sunnyside Boulevard.
