Abbotsford Police assist injured owl near Highway 1
ABBOTSFORD – Abbotsford Police officers were in the right place at the right time after locating an injured owl near Highway 1 and Highway 11 Tuesday night.
Frontline patrol officers were in the area of Sumas Way and Highway 1 in Abbotsford when they observed an owl with some type of injury. Police quickly connected with a volunteer from Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center, who responded to the scene right away to assist.
Police say the owl was safely rescued and transported to a rehabilitation centre for treatment.
“It seemed visibly relieved to be in safe hands—and now has a real chance to recover,” AbbyPD said.
