UPDATE: DriveBC says eastbound Highway 1 through Langley is clear after this morning’s traffic collision.

LANGLEY – DriveBC says two lanes of eastbound Highway 1 in Langley are blocked Tuesday morning due to a vehicle incident at 216 Street.

According to a brief statement at 8:59 a.m. Tuesday, motorists are being asked to use the HOV lane to pass.

DriveBC shared an image showing at least two fire engines, one RCMP unit, and an ambulance on scene.

The PulsePoint app indicates a traffic collision occurred at approximately 8:39 a.m. One ambulance is on scene, one has arrived to transport any patient(s), and one has cleared.

Google Maps shows dark red traffic backed up all the way to 200 Street.

Video from Fraser Valley Buzz indicates some kind of traffic collision in which a blue Toyota Yaris-type hatchback sustained significant rear end damage from a semi-truck.
