Langley-Abbotsford MLA considers run for BC Conservative leadership
ABBOTSFORD — Another MLA may throw his name into the hat to lead the B.C. Conservatives ahead of a looming party leadership contest.
A number of B.C.-based Conservatives have hinted at running since John Rustad’s resignation early December, including former South Surrey-White Rock MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay and federal Conservative MP Aaron Gunn.
In a post Friday morning (Dec. 12), Langley-Abbotsford MLA Harman Bhangu says he would also consider joining the roster – but only if Gunn doesn’t.
“I will honour the commitment we made years ago and support him fully. I will not run against a friend I’ve stood shoulder-to-shoulder with since the beginning,” Bhangu said.
