U.S.-CANADA BORDER — Several men who were intercepted by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Whatcom County for illegally crossing from Canada into the U.S. now face removal proceedings.

According to a social media post from U.S. Border Patrol Chief Patrol Agent Rosario Pete Vasquez, Blaine and Sumas, Washington agents apprehended three individuals over the Nov. 14-16 weekend who illegally entered the U.S. from Canada in three separate incidents in Whatcom County.

“They tried to sneak across the border but were swiftly caught. All are now in removal proceedings,” Chief Patrol Agent Vasquez said on Monday, Nov. 17.

The three men include Indian nationals Baljeet Singh and Balraj Singh and Iranian national Daniel Sabet-Rasekhi. It’s not immediately clear if the three men had legal status or PR status in Canada.
