Chilliwack RCMP appeal to public for help in locating 37-year-old man

CHILLIWACK — Mounties in Chilliwack are asking for the public’s help in locating a 37-year-old man who was last seen in April 2025 in Langley.

According to a statement from Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill, police say Darren Robert Spear was last seen on April 9, 2025, at the Gateway of Hope in Langley.

Police say Spear’s current whereabouts are unknown, and both police and family have expressed concern for his well-being.

While it is common for Spear to go lengths of time without contacting family, police suggest this length of time, seven months, is atypical for Spear.

Spear is known to frequent Langley, Coquitlam and downtown Vancouver.

Spear is described as a Caucasian male, 5’7″ tall with a slender build, short light brown hair, unknown facial hair, and an unknown clothing description.

Anyone who may have seen Darren Spear, or has information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 and quote file number 2025-43227.
